In my opinion and experience, you cannot use "email support" and "very good" in the same sentence! And it is no surprise that you cannot comment on their phone support because it does not exist. Irregardless, I was never able to resolve this issue with Luminar Support using the back-and-forth email tag that is all Luminar offers. I believe this is probably due to me purchasing Luminar from a third party vendor authorized by MacPhun, rather than directly from MacPhun. The point was, most Luminar users have a "Save Changes" button/option while others like myself do not with the version of Luminar we received. What is there is the user's approach not matching the software designer's approach. I hope I'm not being unkind but the problem is just not there. I think the problem that the OP is having is just an insistence on doing things a certain way. The way provided by Luminar seems quite easy if you follow their approach. I can't comment on their phone support but my experience with their email support was very good. It's a junk image so let's not discuss that, just Luminar. I have drawn red lines to these on the image I provided here.
There is also an undo symbol on the top which is an arrow doing a left 180 degree turn. To apply or save the changes as a completed file, you export the version in the output format that you want. Try to remember that so far there is no catalog in this product so their proprietary sidecar file is the way they save changes. You can, optionally, save a ".lmnr" file that is the changes to apply to the original or from where to continue. It will not change the original raw file. Under "File" in the upper left are the choices you want.
